Lutherwood is nestled in the evergreen trees along the north shore of Lake Samish about 10 miles South of Bellingham, Washington. Since our beginning in 1946, Lutherwood has been running programs for campers of all ages on our 103 acres of beautiful waterfront and forest land.

Our facilities are available for retreat group use. We also offer a ropes challenge course experience for team building.

In partnership with Western Washington Lutheran Congregations, Lutherwood is a year-round outdoor ministry, renewing all in the Holy Spirit through education, adventure, service, and prayer.

Does your church want to raise funds to send a kid to camp?

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is matching funds to qualifying individuals. Simply download and complete the Thrivent Financial Fundraising Request Form. We have filled out much of the form for you. If you have questions please contact Bob Merrill.

Congregational camping and picnics

Summer weekends at Lutherwood are a time your congregation can camp out or have a picnic. We have a campground that has water service to most sites, a more rustic campground area that has no water and a group campsite called the point that is right near the lake. Contact Lutherwood for weekend availability.
