Updated Policies - 2023

RV Policies

Only tents are allowed in the Meadow and on the Point (with one RV permitted on the Point). We kindly ask that you not bring RVs as we no longer allow vehicles, including cars, to park in the grassland areas. Instead, please park in the designated parking areas.

RVs are allowed in the official campground where we provide 20 fully facilitated spaces that offer water and electricity.

Waterfront Policies

 1. Children: All children, at all times, must be under adult supervision. An adult must be present on the waterfront, equipped with a life vest, and ready to jump in the water when needed. Samish Lake water is dark water and requires a watchful eye. Groups of 25 swimmers need two appointed supervisors at all times.

2. Lifeguard – This service is available from Memorial Weekend through to Labor Day weekend unless custom arrangements are made and included in your reservation.

3. Our Boats –Lutherwood Camp has a fleet of kayaks, paddleboats, boards, and canoes available for rent. Orientation time is required with a staff member before paddling away from the shore.

4. Your Boats – We are unable to offer the use of Lutherwood Camp and Retreat Boat launch to our guests - no exceptions. If you bring any motorized boats, you must launch them and retrieve them from the public launch on the other side of the lake.

***If you bring kayaks, you must obtain your invasive species certification before placing your kayak in the water. (Whatcom County Policy)

Thank you for understanding our need to enforce guidelines that provide for the longevity of the camp, the safety of the lake waters and wildlife within, and most importantly, your safety
