Why work at a Lutheran summer camp?

Life-Long Relationships

Camp staff friendships are like no other. We believe that all are welcome at Lutherwood. You’ll face beautiful moments where God’s love is visible, and challenging situations when you’ll grow together in the midst of it all. Camp friends make the best friends and can last long after the summer ends.

Educational Experience Opportunities to Advance Life Skills

Lutherwood offers various ways to grow in education and skills, including leadership, teaching, ropes course, waterfront activities and more, helping you in the real world.

Unique Challenges

No two days of camp or two campers are the same! Camp brings ample opportunities to inspire others in their faith as well as opportunities for you to grow personally in yours.

Spiritual Community & Experiences

As a team member, you will have support and encouragement throughout the summer (and even after!!). You will always have someone in your corner rooting, encouraging, and praying for you.

Beautiful Location

Lutherwood is located on lovely Lake Samish, right outside of the college town of Bellingham, Washington, and 30 minutes south of the border with Canada. In addition to our lake access, we are surrounded by amazing mountains, forest, and 106 acres with miles of trails connecting to one of the most visited state parks in the PNW! Camp is 20 minutes away from major grocery stores, parks, shopping centers, churches, and plenty of other fun things to do.

Live outside of the Pacific Northwest?

Lutherwood will reimburse you $100 for your flight to Washington. Bellingham and Sea-Tac airports are 45 minutes/2 hours away, respectively.
