Upcoming Opportunity
Oktoberfest Saturday, October 18
Head to Lake Samish for a celebration of all things fall and help get camp ready for winter and spring!
Spend the morning on work projects (indoor and outdoor options), enjoy a complimentary lunch, and give back to camp! All ages and skill levels welcome.
Stay later in the afternoon for a festive event, featuring brats (meat and vegetarian options available), beer and root beer, and all the fixins’! We’ll offer games, tours of camp, and a casual worship service thanking God and our community for another amazing summer.
Come for the morning, the afternoon, or both! Lunch is free and dinner by donation. All ages welcome! (Please RSVP so we know how much food to make).

Seasonal Volunteer Work Days
We offer 2-3 scheduled weekends per season for anyone from the Lutherwood community to join us on site for a day of work projects! Lunch is included. Past projects include rebuilding the canteen deck, pruning tree limbs, building trails, and painting buildings. Lakeview Lodge Quilts
Are you a quilter? Have a quilting group? Help make our Lakeview Lodge feel homey with a quilt on each bunk! We have single and double-sized beds. Contact office@camplutherwood.org for more information.
Summer Volunteer Opportunities
Camp Nurse
Come provide extra support in our Med Shed, disbursing medications for campers and providing light medical care (bandages, cold packs, OTC meds) as needs arise. Room and board are provided; please inquire if you have kids of camper age! This position is ideal for EMTs, parish nurses, retired nurses, or nursing students; please inquire!
Resource Pastor/Faith Leader of the week
Stay on site (typically Spirit Lodge) for a camp session while you provide spiritual care for our staff and campers, and enjoy some retreat time for yourself. Room and board included; families welcome. (While the title is “Resource Pastor”, we welcome Youth Leaders and other leaders who provide spiritual support in the Lutheran tradition). Craft “Nerd” (aka Crafts Leader)
Love teaching arts and crafts? Lead cabin groups through pre-planned crafts that relate to our Summer theme; room and board included!
